The Performing Arts faculty incorporates the music, dance and drama aspects of the curriculum. In 2013 the school was awarded Arts Mark Gold status for the Arts – we are now in a position where we are able to support pupils and the wider community with specialist provision and resources, enhancing our reputation in the arts.
The arts is a powerful means of communication that can change the way pupils feel, think and act. It brings together intellect and feeling and enables personal expression, reflection and emotional development. We aim to introduce children to the Arts as a live experience and give them lasting enjoyment of the various disciplines. Pupils are given opportunities, where appropriate, to develop and apply Information Technology capability, exploring and creating using a range of media.
